Cain Moss Drug Homicide Trial Begins Monday
Nearly two years have passed since a man's body was found near a north La Crosse park.
The August 2011 death of Tony DuCharme led to several arrests. Three defendants have been convicted of felonies, and a trial begins today for a fourth suspect, Cain Moss. He's charged with reckless homicide, and hiding a corpse. Attorneys for Moss are preparing to argue during the trial that a man who sold drugs to Moss should be held responsible for DuCharme's overdose death.
La Crosse Shooting Update
La Crosse Police are looking for two individuals that they say were involved with a shooting that took place Sunday. Police were sent to the area of 5th and Winnebago for a report of gun fire and an argument. While enroute additional information was received that there was a female who had sustained a gunshot wound. Officers spoke with the 24 year old female victim inside her vehicle at 5th and Market St. It was discovered that she had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower back. She was immediately transported to Gundersen Hospital where she underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
Tomah Police Investigate Man's Death
Tomah Police are investigating the death of a man found in a Tomah home. On Sunday, Tomah Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Superior Ave for a subject that did not have a pulse. The police arrived and determined that the subject was deceased.
The Tomah Police are still confirming the identity of the deceased male.
This death remains under investigation and an autopsy is forthcoming.
