Many Organic Valley Workers Back At Work Shortly After Fire
It's a tight fit for lots of workers at Organic Valley in La Farge, two weeks after a fire destroyed part of the company headquarters.
Mission executive Theresa Marquez says the organic food producer has found working places for many of the 400 employees displaced by the May 14th fire, while more than 100 workers still do not have new spots to work. Marquez tells the Wisconsin Farm Report that predictions of having the Organic Valley headquarters rebuilt by September are unrealistic. It could take a year to rebuild after what Marquez says was the biggest fire ever recorded in Vernon County.

Cause Of Houseboat Accident At Dresbach Dam Still Not Known
A sunken houseboat remains in the Mississippi River today, after a Memorial Day accident which sent the boat over Dam number 7 at Dresbach.
Winona County chief deputy Ron Ganrude says the houseboat was headed downriver from Trempealeau, and was waiting to go through the Dresbach dam when the boat's power suddenly failed. They don't know what caused the failure. Eleven people had to be rescued from the river after the boat overturned...but nobody was seriously injured. Ganrude says the group on the boat was renting it for a week.
