Perren Could Be Committed For Sex ActsA La Crosse area man will NOT be released from prison tomorrow...because the state of Wisconsin wants him to be committed as a sexual predator.
Fifty-year-old Homer Perren Junior is considered 'sexually violent' by the state justice department. Perren is finishing a 10-year prison term for the sexual assault of a child back in 2000. The state claims that Perren has a mental condition which makes him likely to commit sexual crimes again, once he's out of prison. A hearing on Perren's commitment is scheduled for next week, before La Crosse County Judge Elliott Levine. Meth Makers Back In Jail2 alleged Vernon County meth makers are back in jail after being arrested for violating their pre-trial parole after being released following an October grand jury appearance. 33 year old Chris Polus and 33 year old Angela Davis were busted in late September for allegedly running a meth lab in the the Sylvan Glen Supper Club in Stoddard. Both are in the Dane County jail awaiting trial. Both were arrested following an eight-month investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department. Their trial date has been set for February 2011. If convicted, the pair face a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count. 30 year old Kami Spears of Genoa was also arrested at the scene and is still pending any criminal charges. |
