Lax Might Finish Month Just Short Of Rainfall Record For May
This might not go down in history as the wettest May in La Crosse...but it will definitely be in the top three.
The city has received 8-and-a-half inches of rain this month...about an inch below the May record set nine years ago. And even though La Crosse had more than an inch of rain on both Wednesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service says it's unlikely to rain enough today to break the monthly record. La Crosse has received measurable rain for 12 days in a row, not counting today, and we have had only seven days this month without any rain at all.
