Missing Evidence Claim Made In May's Photo Murder Case
For the second time in a month, there's a claim of missing evidence in a high-profile court case in La Crosse.
This time, the accusation comes in a murder case set for trial in July. Attorneys for Jeff Lepsch are seeking to have murder charges dismissed, claiming that security video from the crime scene might have been partially erased. Lepsch is accused of killing May's Photo owner Paul Petras and his teenage son A.J. during a robbery last fall. La Crosse DA Tim Gruenke disputes the defense claim of evidence being missing.
Last week, Areschial Page pled 'no contest' to armed robbery and received probation, after it was revealed that La Crosse police accidentally erased a recording of a witness in his case.
