Local Flu Line Now Open
Nurse advisors at Gundersen Lutheran have seen a 25% increase in call volumes. To help provide flu information, a special influenza information line has been created.
The line......775-0364....... is up and running. Patients can listen to recordings on influenza information and get answers without having to call their healthcare provider's office.
Callers can press zero at any time to speak to their Gundersen Lutheran healthcare provider's office or the Nurse Advisors. The nurse advisors can help patients determine if they can care for their illness at home, or if they should be seen by a healthcare professional.
Yeoman's Appeal Of Attempted Murder Conviction Fails
Five years ago this month, a gunman tried to rob a bar owner in Bangor, and attempted to shoot the man with a gun that wouldn't fire.
Adam Yeoman eventually pled 'no contest' to attempted murder, but appealed his conviction, claiming certain evidence should not have been used to obtain his plea. A state appeals court upholds the evidence, and the conviction. Yeoman claimed the search of his SUV after a police chase was not proper, and said he hadn't been given his rights when telling officers 'you've got the guy.' Yeoman is 26 now, and has more than 20 years left on his prison sentence.
