The man, who WIZM news won't name to protect the child, was charged with 2 counts of child sexual assault, repeated sexual assault and enticement. According to the criminal complaint, the man admitted to bathing the young girl on several occasions, following her into her bedroom and, during different parts of the day, would sexually touch the girl and have her touch him. The girl, who's mother and grandmother were home at the time of some of the assaults, stated that she was not afraid to say anything to anyone about what was going on. At one point, she told investigators that her grandfather told her her he was not worried about the little girl telling police what was happening, but he didn't want her telling her grandmother about it. The man faces almost 200 years behind bars if convicted of all charges. He remains free on a cash bond.

Sparta Man Charged In Crash That Killed His Brother
A Sparta man has been charged with vehicular homicide for a 2009 drunk driving crash that killed his brother. 26 year old Jason Schodeberg was arrested last Friday for allegedly driving drunk and crashing a vehicle July 26th, 2009 on Highway 33 near Cashton. His brother, 30 year old Glenn Schodeberg of Leon, was found pinned beneath it. He was dead at the scene. Jason Schodeberg left the crash scene, apparently trying to find help, but was found later by EMT's and was treated for injuries. At the time of the accident, investigators could not determine who was driving the vehicle. Jason Schodeberg told police he begged his brother not to drive and was a passenger. The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says DNA evidence recovered from the car's air bags and witnesses helped them determine Jason Schodeberg was, in fact, the driver. Schodeberg appeared in court Monday on several charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. He was released on a $5 thousand cash bond. He will be back in court July 9th.
