Suspects In Hougom Shooting Will Get Separate Trials
Just one person shot and killed Sara Hougom at her La Crosse apartment this year...but two men have claimed responsibility.
Partly because of those dueling confessions, Pao Vue and Kong Vue will get separate trials in La Crosse County court. The two are suspected of murdering Hougom during a burglary attempt at a Division Street apartment building. Kong Vue's attorney, Mark Lawton, says an alleged confession by the other suspect would make it hard for the two to be tried together. Kong Vue is already scheduled to be tried in late August. No date has been set for a Pao Vue trial.
