Stratman Found NOT Guilty Of Homicide Charge
A "not guilty" verdict for Trisha Stratman...
After about three hours of deliberation on Thursday, a La Crosse County jury has acquitted the former sheriff's officer of negligent homicide. Stratman was driving her squad car to a police call in Holmen when she collided with a car driven by teenager Brandon Jennings. The 16-year-old Holmen student was killed in the crash. Stratman's attorney said the collision was an accident, while state prosecutors portrayed Stratman as unnecessarily endangering the safety of others by driving about 100 miles an hour through a red light to assist in handling a bar fight.

La Crosse Police in Guard Study
La Crosse police say they're studying an intersection in the city. But you get the feeling they already know what the study will say. Cops last week added a crossing guard at the intersection of Crowley and Losey boulevard after urging from some city council members. The plan: study the need for the guard at that intersection throughout the entire school year
GAB Reverses Tech College Voting ID Rules
State election officials, Wednesday, reversed themselves and will allow technical college students to use their school IDs to vote. Good news to Lee Raasch, President of Western Techincal College.
The board met Wednesday to revisit the college i.d. interpretation. After listening to tech college officials and students argue their school IDs deserve to be included, the board voted 6-0 to allow the practice. Board member Timothy Vocke said the board was wrong in September.
