Shift in Wrecker Policy a Possibility in La Crosse
Local companies stand to pick up some business, based on what the La Crosse city council does in the coming month.
The council is deciding whether to limit tow companies on the city's 'wrecker of the week' list to just those based in La Crosse. Which is only what other cities and villages do already, says Craig Redenbaugh with Craig's Towing in La Crosse
If the change is approved by the council, those companies getting one week rotations as 'wrecker of the week' would go from nine to about five.
Fight Over City Administrator Begins Tonight in La Crosse
Tonight the city council debate about a city administrator begins in La Crosse.
A proposal getting committee hearing tonight would add a top manager to city hall and strip duties from the mayor. Councilman Dick Swantz says the proposal is not targeted at current mayor Matt Harter
Swantz says a city administrator certainly would not come without costs, but he believes the position would also make government run more effectively and make for better long range planning in the city.
Trans Siberian Orchestra Coming To Lacrosse
They are usually known for their electric, high powered musical sounds around Christmas time.....playing sold out shows all over the country. But the Lacrosse Center will be filled with different sounds this time when the Trans Siberian Orchestra performs in April. And with 2 huge concerts coming starting next month, Center Director Art Fahey says why go anywhere else?
Ticets are already on sale for Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert......they go on sale December 9th for Trans Siberian Orchestra. Date of that show is April 19th.
One Dead in Trempealeau County Crash
One dead and one arrested in a one car crash in Trempealeau county last night. Trempealeau county cops say late last night the car was on highway 93, then went into a ditch, hit a driveway, went airborne and came to rest in a field. Lots of damage to the car, cops say. 19 year-old Dillon Pederson declared dead at the scene. 30 year-old James Pederson was arrested and alcohol is considered to be factor in the accident. Both Pedersons are from Minneapolis.

Activists pushing to recall Governor Scott Walker say they have collected more than 300 thousand signatures for the effort in just 12 days. And it looks as though Reid Magney with the Government Accountability Board and his staff will have their work cut out for them verifying all of the petitions.
