Ramp Under Budget and In Use but Still Unfinished
The parking ramp has a name. Cars have been using the new ramp in downtown La Crosse for weeks. The city's parking utility board is having talks about how to charge for parking in the new Riverside ramp. But the ramp isn't officially finished yet. The city's public works department says the new ramp, mostly complete since August, still has a few things that need to be finished before it can be considered 'done.' Until that, the city won't turn over a check for the ramp. Final price on the ramp is still not completely set, but it was built at about a half million dollars under budget.
Olsen Becomes Symbol of Movement

Was the flash grenade that police tossed into the small group that gathered to help Olsen, the 24 year-old Iraq War vet and Onalaska high school grad while he lay bleeding on the street. The video from which the sound comes has helped turned Olsen into an icon of sorts for the Occupy movement that's taken over public spaces since late summer. Olsen is said to be recovering from his head wound in a bay area hospital.
