Council May Stick at 17 Members
There's been times in the past when the city of La Crosse council districts and the county board districts in the city did not match up. May happen again soon. The city council's redistricting committee is recommending to the full council to stay at 17 members. This comes after the county board voted to shrink its size from 35 to 29 members, eliminating 4 districts in the city of La Crosse. Because of complications during elections, the city was under pressure to also cut four. The full council could vote on the issue this month.

Marjorie Reinhart Remembered as Extraordinary Benefactor
The passing of an icon in La Crosse. The great benefactor Marjorie Reinhart died on Monday at 79. Hard to imagine what Viterbo University would look like, says president Rick Artman, without Reinhart's support. He says Marjorie's generosity blessed the university.
Reinhart and her husband, D.B., gave millions to Viterbo and to the hospitals as well. Peter Grabow, at Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse, says you can look in any direction on the medical center's campus or in just about any of their programs and see an impact from Marjorie and the rest of the Reinhart family.
