La Crosse Voting No To Administrator
By a 3-to-2 margin, voters in La Crosse are rejecting the idea of a city administrator.
With seven thousand votes counted, more than four thousand people had voted 'no' on the binding referendum. Opponents of the plan have argued that hiring an administrator would increase the size of city government and take away powers from the mayor.

Sign Committee Looking for More Time
It won't be long before the city of La Crosse has new rules governing billboards in place. But not soon enough to avoid running past the expiration of a 12 month moratorium on electronic signs within the city. City councilman Bob Seaquist wants the moratorium extended so his billboard committee can complete work on new rules for the signs. Not a long extension, he says

La Crosse School Board Talks Construction
The La Crosse School Board was given final details of upgrades to occur at State Road School last night. Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, Joe Ledvina.
Ledvina said the bids for the projects have all came in under projections. The board, which can approve 2 out of the 3 options, will vote on their final plans at their next meeting in 2 weeks. The monies come from the operational budget and not from a referendum passed a few years ago.
Wolf Hunt Coming to Wisconsin
