Thieves Hit Fleet Farm In Winona
Looks like an electronics filled Christmas for some thieves in Winona. Lots of electronics.
Last Wednesday afternoon, 3 men walked into the Fleet Farm, one leaving
shortly after going in the store. The other two took a large hockey
equipment bag from a shelf and began filling it with electronics and sporting
goods. Items stolen? A crossbow, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and
Playstation 3 game systems, telephones, DVD players, a BB pistol and other
items. Worth close to three grand. The men then left the store, loaded the bag
filled with merchandise into a waiting car and took off.

No UW-L ID's Yet
A University of Wisconsin System spokesman says election officials have approved nine campuses' designs for secondary college ID cards for voting. A new state law requires voters to show photo identification at the polls starting in 2012. College IDs qualify if they expire within two years of being issued. Many institutions, however, typically issue four or five year IDs. UW-Lacrosse Chancellor, Joe Gow says it's nothing new to them.
