Holmen Prepares For Fluoride, Despite New Health Report
Federal health experts are saying what opponents of fluoridation have been warning about for decades...
Kids are getting stains on their teeth from fluoride in public tap water.
Now, the feds recommend using lower levels of fluoride to prevent tooth decay. If the lower standard becomes law, that would be a money-saver for communities like Holmen, which might spend less money on chemicals. Fluoridation was approved there in a 2008 referendum, and the supply system should be operating within the next hundred days.

2 Vie For 94th Seat
It's likely a primary will be held April 5th for the vacant 94th Assembly seat that was vacated by 16 year veteran Mike Huebsch. That's the same day the elections will be held for municipal and judicial positions in the state. The general election will be held in May.
Reid Magney, with the Government Accountability Board, which oversees elections says special elections must be held at least 62 but no more than 77 days after the governor’s order.
So far, Lacrosse County Board Chair Steve Doyle and Shelby town board chair Lynnetta Kopp are the only two to register with the State to run for the 94th seat.
