The Onalaska Community Thanksgiving Dinner got one step closer to its fund raising goal thanks to the Health Care Professionals Club at Globe University. On Friday, the HCPC presented a check to Tom Brewer, the President of the Onalaska Enhancement Foundation. And Brewer says that will go a long way toward their meal goal.

Will There Be Sex Ed Changes In La Crosse Schools
Changes in the Doyle administration sex ed bill passed last year are coming. On Wednesday, the state senate passed the GOP bill by a 17-15 vote. Democrats called the legislation foolish and unrealistic, but Republicans forced the measure through. It now goes to the state Assembly, though it's unclear whether the chamber will consider the bill this year. So will it change the way sex ed is taught in the Lacrosse School District?
Stratman Jury Hears Her Police Calls From Crash Scene
The sound of a sheriff's deputy, making a police call from an accident scene: 'Body on the ground, unresponsive.' That was La Crosse County deputy Trisha Stratman, after her squad car collided with another car on Highway 35 last year. Prosecutors say Stratman was checking on Brandon Jennings, who was thrown from the other car, and died in the accident. Stratman is on trial for causing the crash. Jurors heard the 9-1-1 dispatch calls from that night during testimony today.
Local Hall Of Fame Coach Dies
A longtime area baseball coach has died.
Jim Mason, a former coach at Viroqua High School and 1986 inductee into the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame died Thursday at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday in Viroqua.
