Joker Arrested Without Bat Help
You are not necessarily what your costume says you are. A guy that La Crosse police arrested this week-end would have done well to remember that. Cops say the 23 year-old was in the entrance of a parking ramp about an hour after bar-time during a night of Halloween fun this week-end. He was drunkenly yelling profanities at a passing woman, police say, and costumed as the Joker from Batman. When asked by an officer for his name, this Joker had a few more choice things to say. Things just kind of escalated from there. The Joker wound up getting tazed by the cop and taken to jail, no assistance from Batman required.
Bad Swing of Slim Jim Costume Nets Wearer Ticket
A possible costume malfunction has netted a La Crosse woman a citation. A cop says she found the woman with a head injury downtown after bartime on Sunday. She clearly needed help but was belligerent and not cooperating with the officer. She wound up hitting the cop with part of her Slim Jim costume. She apologized and said she didn't mean it. The officer appears to have accepted the apology, taking Slim Jim to the hospital for treatment and writing only a ticket for disorderly conduct.
