Crews were dispatched a little after 3 p.m.

Several agencies responded Monday afternoon, following a report that a person was seen in the Mississippi River south of the Cass Street Bridge.

Two boats, fire department divers, and medical staff responded from the La Crosse Fire Department.

The boats went out after the man and he was rescued a few minutes later.

He was taken to the hospital for further observation.

It's unclear whether he fell or jumped from the bridge.
