The La Crosse Weather Office recorded 8.3 inches over the weekend.

With that, only one April in La Crosse history has been snowier than this one.

After the weekend storms, La Crosse now has a total of 13 inches of snow for April of 2018.

You have to go back 45 years for the only April to top this month.

On April 8-9 in 1973, the area was hit by a blizzard, which led to 17 inches of snow.

Sunday, La Crosse set a record for the city's lowest high temperature for April 15 at 27 degrees at 9:30 p.m.

The weekend storm also left a foot or more of new snow in some area communities.

Neillsville had the top snow total in the western Wisconsin region with 17 inches as of Sunday night.

Black River Falls received 14 inches, while Tomah had an even 12.
