Stop Raiding Fees says Huebsch

Money you spend on fees isn’t meant for balancing the budget. While some folks can’t afford the multiplying fees in our state, Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch says most fees are designed with a particular purpose in mind. But one particular fee has been raided over and over.

Huebsch says the entire time Governor Doyle was in office....he raided over $1.3 billion from the transportation fund. Something Huebsch calls a double tax.

Huebsch says the revenue collected from those fees should not be transferred to the general fund to plug the budget hole, currently around $3 billion
