Vet Manager Back In Court
An office manager at a Sparta Veterinary Clinic, who is accused of ordering and stealing almost six thousand hydrocodone pills and using company money to pay for them, was in a Monroe County courtroom today.
36 year old Katherine Watters, of rural Sparta, is charged in Monroe County Circuit Court with 11 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and five counts of forgery.
She is accused of ordering the pills with $4500 of vet clinic monies, then taking them home to support a habit. She also gave some to her boyfriend who then sold them.
Watters plead not guilty and will be back in court in March.
