Truck Driver Charged, Can Now Go Home

A criminal case in Monroe County has brought about a whole new ball game for the Monroe County D.A., a judge and possibly the State of Wisconsin. Judge David Rice ruled that a Canadian truck driver who erratically drove through Monroe County last year for 23 miles in his big rig...will be allowed to return to his home win Canada, with really no punishment for his actions from the incident that happened last May.

44 year old Beant Singh Gill was found not guilty by reason of insanity earlier this year.....and will be allowed to continue treatment he is receiving for a Bi-Polar Canada. A first for Monroe County D.A. Dan Cary.

Judge David Rice says the case may be the first of it's kind in the state....and though Gill will have to follow the rules given to him under the Department of Health for 6 years.....monitoring his progress will be hard to do since Wisconsin has no jurisdiction in Canada.
