State Cuts To Seniors Would Be Huge

We've been hearing about state cuts to local cities, county's and school districts.....but not too much about what Governor Scott Walker's budget proposal would do to seniors in the state.

Well the Governor's budget would see a cut of about 500-million dollars in cuts from Medicaid through a variety of reforms including increasing co-pays and deductibles, but not by reducing benefits. And that says Noreen Holmes-Kuroski of the Lacrosse County Aging Department....would lead to cuts in local senior transportation as well. And that Kuroski says is a must have for seniors and others.

Kuroski says most seniors want to stay at home as much as possible, but cuts like these may not make that possible if you take away their means of transportation
