Fight Over Presumed Theft Leads to Arson

A squabble over a couple bucks and a coat have led to an arson charge against a homeless guy in La Crosse. Cops say Thomas Hitchins was ticked off at his buddy for stealing some cash and his jacket. So the 78 year-old decided the appropriate response was to light up the guy's camper, piled high with his personal belongings. Hitchins at first told a cop he had nothing to do with the fire but later admitted the arson, tying it directly to the squabble between the two men.
