Council to Vote on Weapons Ban as Law Takes Effect

They're a little behind.   But the La Crosse city council finally tackles the issue of carrying concealed weapons in city buildings tomorrow.

Council member doug Happel's proposal is to ban weapons from all buildings.  Doesn't have anything against the state's new concealed carry law.  Or personal protection

The state law goes into effect tomorrow.  The city rules, likely, will be in place weeks after.   Meaning, it will be legal to carry weapons in city hall while the council votes to outlaw it.
