What To Do With The School

To sell or not to sell....that is the question facing the La Crescent community. WIZM'S Dan Deicher has the story.

It would cost close to $9 million to fix up the La Crescent Elementary School. But a developer has shown an interest to buy the property for an upcoming shopping center. Superintendent, Ron Wilke, says there are others looking at the project besides the school district.

Wilke admitted there are a lot of elements involved in the school's decision. Much of what the school decides depends on how the city moves forward, and some choices made by the school could affect how the development comes together and what the city may have to consider. If things fall in place.....ground could be broken on the project next month.
