Stratman Found NOT Guilty Of Homicide Charge

A "not guilty" verdict for Trisha Stratman...

After about three hours of deliberation on Thursday, a La Crosse County jury has acquitted the former sheriff's officer of negligent homicide. Stratman was driving her squad car to a police call in Holmen when she collided with a car driven by teenager Brandon Jennings.  The 16-year-old Holmen student was killed in the crash.  Stratman's attorney said the collision was an accident, while state prosecutors portrayed Stratman as unnecessarily endangering the safety of others by driving about 100 miles an hour through a red light to assist in handling a bar fight.
