Board Votes Against Power Project

The CapX2020 project was at the forefront of the Holmen School Board meeting tonight. Opposition was the key word. The board voted on a resolution opposing the entire project.

The high voltage power line project would have about 150 miles of power lines, some of which would run through La Crosse County.  They would actually come to an end at a substation near Holmen, which would run past two schools and a projected third building.

Board Member, Cheryl Hancock, told WIZM News that the resolution means the district is now on record with the Public Service Commission opposing CapX2020.
