Koula Trial Delayed Until April
Delays in processing DNA evidence have forced a postponement of the Eric Koula murder trial in La Crosse. Judge Scott Horne has set jury selection for April 16th. Defense attorney James Koby asked for more time to evaluate genetic evidence from the house where Koula's parents were shot to death last year. Koby says the latest report from the state crime lab came out just two days ago, and there is still some unidentified DNA from the crime scene. Horne says "this shouldn't have happened," because much of the evidence was sent to the lab over a year ago. The trial was scheduled to begin next Monday.
