County Mulls Over Billboard Ordinance

Lacrosse County Supervisor, Bill Feehan, is disagreeing with a sign ordinance currently being drafted by his counterparts. At issue..........if the ordinance passes it will become an economic nightmare.

Part of the ordinance would not allow existing billboards to be converted to digital ones, would keep electronic signs at least 500 feet from a residential district, have to hold a message for one hour, and digital signs would turn off from midnight until 6 a.m., unless the business is still open. Topics that will be up for discussion at a public hearing Monday night. It's being held at the Onalaska Omni Center at 6pm.
