Lost Focus Money Could Come in Real Handy Right About Now

It's not like the cost of energy will go down any time in the near future.  In fact Xcel energy is waiting on final approval from Wisconsin state regulators for electricity and natural gas rate increases of a little over two percent.  Which makes it particularly galling, says Citizens Utility Board chief, Charlie Higley, that lawmakers in Madison killed increases for the state's Focus on Energy program.   A program, says Higley, that saves way more than it costs energy consumers

A recent report from the legislature's own audit bureau found that for every dollar spent on Focus on Energy, consumers saved over two dollars in energy costs.
