Police Reports Show New Year Celebration Relatively Quiet
After counting up tickets and tallying arrests, turns out it was kind of a quiet New Year's Eve for La Crosse police. There were a few fights. A few broken windows. Somebody on the southside swears he saw a guy shooting six rounds out of a gun though police never found casings. Not really that many drunk driving arrests. There was that one 20 year old Army vet who kicked in the door of a garage on the southside because he was cold, underdressed and trying to get warm. Not surprisingly, police say, that guy was pretty solidly drunk.
