On The Run Is No Fun
A wanted Trempealeau County man who was on the lam for 3 days is finally in police custody.
On Tuesday, Jackson County Deputies were responding to a domestic
disturbance in Taylor. After investigating the complaint, Deputies attempted to
take 24 year old Robert Schaffer into custody. Schaffer was able to resist
arrest and escape Deputies which started a 3 day long search.
On Wednesday, Schaffer was seen in the City of Blair by Officers and
residents. Jackson County Deputies and K-9s assisted Blair Officers and
Trempealeau County Deputies in searching the Blair area for Schaffer. Schaffer
was not found and was able to elude being captured and arrested.
On Thursday, just before midnight, Schaffer turned himself
into the Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail on Charges
of Domestic Disorderly Conduct, Resisting and False Imprisonment. Schaffer may
also be looking at charges from the City of Blair and or Trempealeau County
