Average Gambling Debt Skyrockets in Wisconsin

People are losing a bundle in Wisconsin.  According to the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling, the average reported debt on the organization's gambling hotline last year was more than $157,000.  A whopping increase of over a hundred thousand dollars from the year before, says council director, Rose Gruber

Gruber says more people are maxing-out credit cards, getting short-term loans of all kinds, leaning on friends and relatives, and gambling money they should spend on mortgages or rent.
