Highway 16 Study Well Underway
It's always nice when an area business chips in and helps pay for a study of local roads in the area. Just ask Onalaska City Engineer Jarrod Holter.
The DOT says the city is obligated to modify the traffic lanes on Highway 16 at the South Kinney Coulee Road intersection if and when traffic conditions warrant. Well it is warranted and the study is underway to try and alleviate some of the traffic back up's that have been occuring the past couple of years. Actual construction of turn lane changes is estimated to cost about $115 thousand, which has been included in the city’s 2012 capital improvements budget.
