Kind Says Opposition To Health Bill Was About Obama

PRESIDENT OBAMA IS EXPECTED TO SIGN A HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL TUESDAY...SOMETHING THAT MANY AMERICANS HOPED WOULD NOT HAPPEN.

CONGRESSMAN RON KIND OF LA CROSSE SAYS HE DECIDED OVER THE WEEKEND TO SUPPORT THE BILL. KIND BELIEVES ELECTION-YEAR POLITICS WAS A BIG MOTIVATION FOR MANY OPPONENTS OF THE PLAN.

BUT AFTER THE HEALTH CARE DEBATE, KIND THINKS THERE ARE IMPORTANT ISSUES THE REST OF THIS SESSION THAT THE TWO PARTIES CAN WORK ON TOGETHER...INCLUDING RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF FOREIGN OIL.

Congressman Kind can't decide what he believes. A few weeks ago he was talking about working toward balancing the budget. This week he is defending his vote for national health care despite what he surely knows about the future cost. He even points to the CBO scoring of the cost while ignoring the fact that there was a lot of trickery done to get that number right. The White House went to the CBO with revised numbers as many times as it took to get the number they wanted. Everyone who uses an Excel spreadsheet has heard of the "what if" methodology that is used to get a desired result by changing the numbers. That is how the Student Loan program became part of the CBO scoring. I am not sure what student loans have to do with the cost of health care, but then I am not in Congress like Ron Kind. The real truth is that Kind is a politician and appears to not have one original thought in his head. He takes his marching orders from the DNC and Obama administration, not from constituants
