Appeals Court Knocks Down Galesville Man's Divorce Complaint

A Galesville man said he couldn't afford to keep up with his divorce settlement, but an appeals court has called him out on that claim...The Third District Court of Appeals will not grant Daniel Smith another chance to work out a settlement with his ex-wife. The judges ruled that Smith was secretly getting routine payments from a family business, along with his regular salary...payments that added up to hundreds of dollars a month. Smith appealed the court-ordered support payments and attorney's fees, following the break-up of his 21-year marriage.
