Garbage Rule Changes Head to City Council

The hope with new garbage regulations in La Crosse is that the rules will lead to a cleaner city overall.  Doing that through some potential fines, says city public works director, Dale Hexom, and some education about the best way to get rid of your trash as well

The city's public works board this week has agreed to new regulations that have been worked on for months.  Among changes: a limit to large items that can be put in the garbage at once and a requirement that all garbage goes in a container.  The city council will also have to approve the new rules at a meeting next month.
