Get Him Back On The Train

La Crosse was not the scheduled destination for this rail rider...

Julian Rowland of Missouri was taken off the Empire Builder at the La Crosse depot this weekend after getting into a fight with a conductor when he couldn't pay for food in the dining car. Rowland also kicked a La Crosse city cop when he resisted arrest.

Judge Ramona Gonzalez told Rowland in court on Monday that they would try to get him on a train to Chicago, so he could use a return ticket to his hometown. The D-A's office proposed a deal for Rowland to plead to resisting arrest, so he could be sent on his way.  A charge of disorderly conduct would be dropped, as part of the deal.
