Felony Child Abuse Charge Dropped In GET Dry Ice Case
A child abuse charge against an area basketball coach and teacher is being dismissed...
A Trempealeau County judge rules that he cannot find enough evidence to try Brady Olson on a felony charge of physically abusing children. Olson still faces a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, for allegedly injuring girls on his middle-school basketball team by placing dry ice on their skin. The frozen chemical allegedly left burn marks on at least one student. Olson also teaches chemistry for the G-E-T school district, and argues that he was using the dry ice for a science demonstration for the girls one day last January. The D-A's office filed charges last month.
