Extra Trouble for Drunk Driver with Young Passenger

Among the drunk drivers nabbed this week-end by La Crosse police, was the woman who parked her car on top of a roadside sign on the northside. Cops say the 47 year-old woman earned her first OWI for plowing into a "No Stopping or Standing During School Hours" sign near Franklin elementary on Friday afternoon just after school let out. Her 12 year-old child was a passenger but not hurt in the crash. The woman said she'd just had a glass of wine but blew a .23 on the breathalyzer at jail. She faces extra penalties because a child under 16 was in the car.
