County Ethics Board Takes Up Complaint Against O'Malley

Charges made against the La Crosse county administrator will get a public hearing this summer...

No date has been set, but the county ethics board has agreed to hear arguments that Steve O'Malley illegally used his position of power to promote the city administrator referendum defeated last month in La Crosse. O'Malley believes his activities aimed at getting La Crosse voters to support the position of administrator were proper. Ethics board chairman Rick Kyte says it's possible that just one hearing will be needed to decide whether O'Malley broke any laws.
