City Council Will Make Final Call on Ramp Deal
It sounds like it's a done deal. But it's not. And all kinds of unforeseen things could pop up between now and when the La Crosse city council will decide whether to support a deal worked out with developer Don Weber to build a new parking ramp downtown. City council member Bruce Ranis says he's okay with what he's heard about the deal so far but he wants to see the details of the plan that includes Weber financing construction of the $10.3 million ramp and then selling it to the city. The plan also calls for Weber to build a third Riverside Center building that will include parking spaces and be worth about $18 million.
