Regents To Vote On Tuition Increase Today

Funding to the UW system was cut by $250 million over two years in the 2011-13 budget. And with more money having to be returned to the state, UW-La Crosse finds themselves in an $8 million hole. Now, they can find $3 milion of that.......the rest? A tuition increase that La Crosse Regent, Brent Smith, will vote on today.

Under the tuition increase proposed for in state students at the 13 four year campuses and two year campuses in the UW system, increases would range between $247 at the two year colleges to $681 at UW-Madison. $300 at La Crosse.
