Fire Bans Declared In Several SW Wis Counties

Fireworks and firecrackers will be everywhere around the U-S this week...except maybe in places where the risk of wildfires is high.

About half the counties in Wisconsin are considered very dry by the DNR, and Crawford and Richland Counties have been placed under an emergency burning order until further notice. Catherine Koele from the DNR says several factors were used to decide where bans on campfires and outdoor smoking would go.  Cities that have holiday fireworks planned can still have those displays, even if they're within the restricted zone.
