Dual Beat Down Gets Man 15 Years In Prison
15 years in prison. That's the sentence a La Crosse man recieved today for
beating his girlfriend and her friend to the point of permanent injuries. Judge
Scott Horne told 58 year old Daniel Stoddard that this was one of the most sever
incidents of domestic violence he has seen short of a homicide.
Stoddard was drunk on whiskey back on July 29th of last year when he attacked the two women in La Crosse. Stoddard accused his girlfriend of cheating on him then punched her friend in the head. The woman lost consciousness and woke up to find him kicking his girlfriend. He then kicked the friend in the head and punched her repeatedly after noticing she regained consciousness. Stoddard also hit the woman in the head with a frying pan.
Stoddard’s girlfriend ended up with a brain injury, skull fracture, lacerations, puncture wounds and bruises. Her suffered head wounds that required 32 staples and a broken hand among other injuries.
