Pet Store Robber Pleads Guilty
A La Crosse man who held up a La Crosse pet store this Spring, has pleaed guilty to the charge of attempted robbery with use of force.
Michael Wilken admits to trying to hold up Old Towne North Pet Store May 7th.
At a hearing this morning, Wilken reached a deal with the prosecution in the case. He admitted to holding up a store employee with a knife and demanded money he was going to use for drugs. After the employee grabbed a two by four, Wilken ran. A video of the crime was then featured on the the La Crosse Police Department's facebook page.
He faces five years in prison when sentenced.
