Gun Bought for Protection Gets La Crosse Man Arrested

Besides the two shootings in La Crosse this week-end, there was other gunplay. Cops have arrested 18 year-old Alvin Campbell for waving a gun around and carrying it in his pants pocket without a license. Campbell at first denied having a gun but amended that statement when police found the gun under some bushes. He said he bought the gun from another guy to protect himself from the jealous boyfriend of a woman he had sex with. Said he never could figure out how to take the gun off of safety.  Meanwhile, police continue to investigate two separate shootings over the week-end.  One in which a 19 year-old was struck and is recovering from his wounds.
