Counties Get Money For Healthy Community Programs

The La Crosse area already has a variety of programs designed to get people to become more healthy...

Now, some of those programs are getting a healthy dose of money from a statewide group. Jennie Melde from the La Crosse YMCA says the 'Transform Wisconsin' funding will help the 'Y' staff lead kids to healthier habits, and allow collaborative efforts with the Boys and Girls Clubs to continue.  The La Crosse County health department and the Healthy Living Collaboration will get close to half-a-million dollars in money from the Transform Wisconsin project. That group is providing money to about 30 communities around the state.
