Job Numbers and Unemployment Rates Tick Up in La Crosse
La Crosse is one of the many metro areas in the state that saw an uptick in unemployment rates last month.
That's information in the latest jobs report from the state today. Although the state estimates the La Crosse area actually gained over a thousand jobs between May and June, it also says the area's unemployment rate pushed up to nearly six percent. That's considerably higher than May's unemployment rate of 5.2% but still second in the state for metro areas behind only Madison.
